Code of Conduct for Procurement

The Code of Conduct for Procurement reflects basic principles and expectations with respect to federal procurement in Canada. The code:

  • consolidates in summary form the federal government's measures on conflict of interest and anti-corruption as well as other legislative and policy requirements relating specifically to procurement; and
  • provides a clear statement of mutual expectations to ensure a common basic understanding among all participants in procurement.

The government expects that everyone involved in the procurement process, vendors and public servants alike, will abide by the provisions of this Code.
