User roles

Learn more about the user roles in the TMA.

Author

An author creates tender and awards notices, and can amend notices they’ve created. They have access to the Author dashboard, where they’ll see all of their notices.

Publisher

A publisher approves tender and awards notices to be published or cancelled on CanadaBuys. They have access to the Publisher dashboard, where they’ll see all notices that are ready for review, published or cancelled.

Dual role

Someone with a dual role can complete the tasks of both an author and publisher. They have access to both the Author and Publisher dashboards.

Reassigning notices

To reassign a tender or award notice, its author or contracting authority must contact the CanadaBuys Service Desk. They must provide the notice's title and solicitation number, as well as the name and email address of the author it should be assigned to.

Note: Please submit reassignment requests at least 3 business days ahead of time, if possible, to allow the Service Desk time for processing. If it needs to be done sooner, mark your request as “urgent.”
