Report Summary

The Office of Small and Medium Enterprise and Strategic Engagement (OSME-SE) undertook a study entitled; 2012 Study of Participation of Small and Medium Enterprises in Federal Procurement in order to gather information about the small and medium enterprise (SME) experience with federal government procurement. Respondents were asked to answer an online questionnaire open from June to September 2012. The feedback from this study establishes a solid base of data that will help OSME-SE in its efforts to improve access for SMEs and reduce barriers to federal procurement. The resulting report Integral to the Economy, Integral to Procurement: 2012 Study of Participation of Small and Medium Enterprises in Federal Procurement summarizes findings of interest to most stakeholders and outlines the steps that will be take in response to the findings.
