If your business is located in Ontario, but outside the National Capital Region (Gatineau/Ottawa), you will probably deal with Ontario regional office of Acquisitions Branch, of Public Works and Government Services Canada. The Ontario Region buys goods and services for federal departments and agencies throughout the province. It also negotiates real property contracts, such as leasing, construction, architectural and engineering services.
The Acquisitions Branch’s regional office is located in Toronto, with district offices in Kingston and Petawawa.
The Ontario Region's main clients are: National Defence, Environment Canada, Correctional Service Canada and Transport Canada.
Procurement Assistance Canada also has a regional presence and offers basic seminars that provide potential suppliers with information essential to an understanding of the federal procurement and contracting process. Also available are specialized seminars providing more detailed information on specific topics of interest, such as how to write better proposals.
