The commodity classification datasets are archived and will no longer be updated on Buyandsell.gc.ca. The new datasets will now be maintained and updated by CanadaBuys. The Government of Canada is using the United Nations Standard Products and Services Codes (UNSPSC) as an open and globally recognized way to classify goods and services. This replaces Goods and Services Identification Number (GSIN) codes. Adopting the UNSPSC creates a more consistent experience for businesses navigating between different tendering platforms.
