Report Summary
Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has engaged the boatbuilding industry on issues specific to small vessel procurement in Canada to understand the nature of their challenges in undertaking these procurements. The feedback has been compiled to obtain seven primary points of common focus outlined in this report. Though some of the industry feedback pertains specifically to the small vessel supply industry, a number of the points raised are similarly shared by the larger shipbuilding industry and some by the contracting community in general. This report is the result of the feedback received from the small vessels industry between December 2011 and February 2012.
