Responding to this RFI is not a prerequisite to receiving any resulting Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Collection Services of Federal Outstanding Fines owed to Canada. However, all potential suppliers are encouraged to indicate their level of interest by sending their comments or questions to the Contracting Authority (at the e-mail address provided herein). The role of the Public Prosecution Service of Canada (PPSC) is responsible for administering the National Fine Recovery Program (NFRP) under the terms of an assignment issued by the Attorney General of Canada. The PPSC requires the services of firm or agency specialized in collection services. Specific services of PPSC are required to collect outstanding federal fines owed to Canada, including Criminal Code fines, surcharges and court costs ordered with the federal fine at sentencing. This includes legal costs where applicable, using appropriate collection methods. The initial period of any resulting contract is proposed to be two years commencing from date of contract with an irrevocable option to extend the period of the proposed Contract by up to three (3) additional one (1) year periods.
