Description
Trade Agreement: WTO-AGP/NAFTA/AIT/Canada FTAs with Peru/Colombia/Panama Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Attachment: None Competitive Procurement Strategy: Best Overall Proposal Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: This Amendment addresses the questions rised by the Industry and their respectitive answers. Question 1: Is there a spec for the Local User Terminal (LUT) that describes the antenna system? Answer to Question 1: There is no MEOLUT specifications at this time since all we have at this time is the Cospas-Sarsat (C/S) MEOSAR performance specifications. These specifications can be found on the C/S website (link provided on the P&A Reference Documents section). the MEOLUT specification will only be drafted after the D&E is completed since the purpose of the D&E phase is to validate those performance specifications and complete the MEOLUT Specifications. I can only direct the Providers to the Reference Documents list specifically to the documents RD-1 and RD-2 which are the C/S MEOSAR Master Implementation Plan (MIP) and the C/S MEOSAR Demonstration and Evaluation Plan (D&E Plan). Question 2: What's the status of the Demo/Eval described in Section 1.5, that began in January 2013? Answer to Question 2: The D&E is a major internationally coordinated effort which is progressing pretty much as planned so far, but will last for at least 2 more years; therefore there is not much I can provide at this time. Some of the preliminary findings will be presented, by several Nations, at the Joint Council Meeting in late June, and this information is available before then. Question 3: Would it be possible to change the closing date to July 8, 2013? Answers to Question 3: Due to time constraint, we have no intention to extend the period of closing at this time. Question 4: Would an attachment to an email be acceptable for this submission? Any specific requirement for the format of this response? Answers to Question 4: There is no requirement for format purpose. However, it has to be sent to the bid-receiving unit as a hard copy with CD and cannot be sent as email attachment. Question 5: With regarding to Section 6- Definition Phase- Is the DND intention to select just one vendor for this phase, or, maybe more than one vendor could be selected for this phase? We have not decided how many vendors will be selected at this time. Question 6: If an email plus attachment is acceptable for this submission, can you inform us of the email address of the Bid Receiving Unit? As per Answer to Question 4, it is not possible. Question 7: In case of other means of submissions would be required, can you advise how many hard copies and/or CD's should be returned to the Bid Receiving Unit? 2 copies of the CD are acceptable for this purpose. Delivery Date: 01/05/2013 The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
