October 24, 2022 – Ottawa – As part of its commitment to protecting human rights and combatting the exploitation of vulnerable people in Canada and abroad, the Government of Canada is seeking feedback from suppliers on the risks of human trafficking, forced labour, and child labour in federal supply chains. Through an online questionnaire, the Government of Canada expects to better understand suppliers’ level of awareness about these risks in their supply chains.
The information gathered will be confidential, and results will be anonymized and used to develop guidance and awareness materials, and inform content for ethical procurement engagement sessions.
