On June 14, 2022, the Government of Canada announced the suspension of mandatory vaccination for federal employees effective June 20, 2022. In alignment with this measure, the Government of Canada will also be suspending the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Supplier Personnel (“the policy”).

This means that as of June 20, 2022 and until further notice, the vaccination requirements of the policy will no longer be in effect.

If you have submitted a COVID-19 Vaccination Certification as part of a solicitation or contract issued prior to June 20, 2022:

  • you will no longer be required to meet the vaccination requirements set out in the Certification until further notice; and
  • Canada will no longer require you to comply with any accommodation and mitigation measures approved under the policy for your personnel who were unable to get vaccinated until further notice.

For new solicitations or resulting contracts issued on or after June 20, 2022:

  • you will no longer be required to submit a COVID-19 Vaccination Certification or comply with the vaccination requirements of the policy until further notice.

Please note that you may still be required to comply with site-specific workplace health and safety measures that have been put in place by federal departments and agencies separately from the policy.

Canada reserves the right to reinstate the policy in the future in alignment with public health guidelines and any vaccination requirements for the public service.

We thank you for your continued cooperation.
