June 21, 2019 - Ottawa – As the Government of Canada’s central purchaser, Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is responsible for ensuring that the goods and services the government buys are as accessible as possible at the best value to Canadians.
PSPC has published a Request for Proposal for the services of a management consultant team to complete the second phase of its comprehensive accessible procurement strategy. Expanding on the first phase, the management consultant team will organize workshops with stakeholder groups, conduct market analysis on accessible goods and services, and develop performance indicators for measuring progress.
The comprehensive accessible procurement strategy is being developed in collaboration with PSPC's partners and stakeholders. Once completed, the strategy will allow PSPC to better incorporate accessibility criteria into requirements for the procurement of goods and services.
