Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: If 2+ bids offer Canadian goods/services other bids will not be considered Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Summary: RISO - Catering Services Nanaimo - DND - Nanaimo BC Canada The Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement for a Regional Individual Standing Offer (RISO) for the provision of catering services, which consist of hot and cold meals and box meals, on an as and when requested basis to various Canadian Forces locations, in accordance with the requirement detailed herein. The estimated number of participants per exercise varies between 25 and 150 personnel. Exercises may run for up to five (5) or more consecutive days (two-three is usual), week days and/or week-ends, between the hours of 0530-1900h Pacific Time. The Offeror can expect to receive a minimum 7 days advance notice of meals requirements. Meals will either be picked up by DND or delivered by the Contractor upon DND request. Pick-up location must be within a maximum driving distance radius of 25 km of the Nanaimo Military Camp Nanaimo Military Camp located at 709 Nanaimo Lakes Rd., Nanaimo, BC, V9R 7E3. Contractor must be prepared to deliver meals within a 40 km radius of the Nanaimo Military Camp. Delivery locations will be specified on the meal request, and include but are not limited to: CFB Esquimalt Detachment Nanoose Bay, the Nanaimo Rifle Range, and the Canadian Forces Maritime Experimental and Test Ranges (CFMETR), Nanoose Bay. DND will not provide a kitchen facility. If requested, DND can supply insulated food containers to the Contractor at least two (2) hours before meals are due to be picked up or delivered. The period of the RISO is two (2) years from the date of issuance of the Standing Offer with the option to extend for one (1) additional period of one (1) year under the same conditions. The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA). The requirement is subject to a preference for Canadian services. This Request for Standing Offer (RFSO) allows offerors to use the epost Connect service provided by Canada Post Corporation to transmit their offers electronically. Offerors must refer to Part 2 of the RFSO entitled Offeror Instructions and Part 3 of the RFSO entitled Offer Preparation Instructions, for further information on using this method. It is the responsibility of the Bidder/Offeror to ensure that all amendments issued prior to solicitation closing have been obtained and addressed in the submitted bid/offer. Bidders/Offerors intending to submit bids/offers should obtain solicitation documents from the Government Electronic Tendering System (GETS) at https://buyandsell.gc.ca/procurement-data/tenders . Solicitation amendments, when issued, will be available on GETS. Bidders/Offerors basing their submissions on solicitation documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk.
