The sourcing strategy relating to this procurement will be limited to suppliers in the area of origin (Eastern Canada) of the vessel in accordance with the Shipbuilding and Repair Procurement Policy.

To carry out mainly inspections and ship repair work, including dry docking, regarding the Canadian Coast Guard Ships C.C.G.S. Amundsen, in accordance with the Technical Specifications entitled: ‘Annex A - CCGS AMUNDSEN Dry dock – February 14th 2020 ‘’ and all related drawings and other technical documents.


A bidders' Conference chaired by the Contracting Authority was held onboard CCGS Amundsen at Section 107, Sector Anse-au-Foulon of the Port of Quebec, Qc at 09:15 am, February 26th, 2020.


A visit of the vessel was performed before the bidder’ conference.

The requirement is exempt from the provisions of the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), Annex 4 and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Chapter 10 Annex 1001.2b Paragraph 1, however, it is subject to the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).
