The successful company would complete necessary environmental assessment reports, conduct field work, and assist in obtaining relevant background information related to indigenous knowledge. The purpose of this RFI is to request feedback from interested parties that will be used to inform the procurement process for the upcoming Aboriginal Set Aside Standing Offer for Environmental Services. The objectives of this RFI are as follows: To gauge interest in the upcoming set aside. To ensure the types of services being requested in the upcoming set aside RISO meet qualifications of potential bidders. To bring attention to the upcoming set aside and to get as much participation from indigenous companies as possible. To ensure the RISO process is as effective as possible by ensuring the successful bidders are capable of conducting the required services and are willing to work with PSPC to build upon their experience and increase their capacity of environmentally related work in Atlantic Canada. For the purposes of this RFI, "environmental services" refers broadly to the various disciplines of environmental services and include, but are not limited to: Contaminated Sites Assessment Environmental Studies Related to Environmental Assessment and Permitting Nature of this RFI The purpose of the RFI is to engage Industry to seek feedback and receive comments and recommendations on the proposed requirements. This is not a bid solicitation, it is a request for information. This RFI will not result in the award of any contract. As a result, potential suppliers of any good or services described in this RFI should not reserve stock or facilities, nor allocate resources, as a result of any information contained in this RFI. This RFI will not result in the creation of any source list. Therefore, whether or not any potential supplier responds to this RFI will not preclude that supplier from participating in any future procurement. Also, the procurement of any of the goods and services described in this RFI will not necessarily follow this RFI. This RFI is simply intended to solicit feedback with respect to the matter described in this RFI. Response Costs Canada will not reimburse any respondent for expenses incurred in responding to this RFI.
