Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: Disposal - DND Auxiliary Vessels W8482-194521/A Chantal Pilon Telephone No.: (819) 420-2914 Email: firstname.lastname@example.org The Department of National Defence has a requirement to dispose of, through Ship Breaking, three (3) auxiliary vessels (YDG 2 Deperming Barge, YRG 60 Fuelling Barge and YDT 12 (Granby) Diving Tender). The Contractor will be required to prepare the vessels for transfer, transfer the vessels to the Approved Site and subsequently break (dismantle and dispose or recycle) the vessels in an efficient and environmentally responsible manner in accordance with the Statement of Work - Annex "A", attached to the RFP. The Contractor will have 45 days from the contract award date to remove the vessels from the CFB Halifax - HMC Dockyard, and from the removal date, twelve (12) months to complete the Work. The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA). The Basel Convention, the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (1999), the Export and Import of Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Recyclable Material Regulations SOR/2005-149 and the Operational Requirements of the Government of Canada applies to this requirement. There is a mandatory bidders conference and site visit associated with this requirement where personnel security screening is required prior to gaining access to PROTECTED information, assets or sites.
