Description
Requirement:
Halifax Citadel National Historic Site requires a contractor to perform all the work associated with the rehabilitation of the Town Clock. The work involves, but is not limited to, replacing the roofs, the copper flashings, repair wood elements, and painting the exterior building envelops to eliminate water infiltration and renew the exterior appearance. See specifications for further details on the requirements of this project.
Optional Site Visit:
There will be an optional site visit on 31 May 2018 at 10:30 (local time). Interested bidders are to meet at the Town Clock front entrance, located at the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site. Please note that bidders are not to park at the front entrance, and must park vehicles off site.
The site visit for this project is OPTIONAL. The representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

Inquiries:

Inquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond.
National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.
Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.
The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
