Description of Work: This project involves the Repair of retaining walls – Lachine Canal meaning demolition for minor works, concrete forming, concrete reinforcing and concrete repair. Closing Date and Time: September 28, 2015 at 2 o’clock PM (EDT) OPTIONAL SITE VISIT It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at the intersection of Monk Boulevard Lachine Canal bike path - north side of the bridge monk in Montreal on September 10, 2015. The site visit will begin at 10:00 a.m. (see attached document) Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than September 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation. National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act. Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered. Standard Terms and Conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference into, and form part of the Tender and Contract Documents. Delivery Date: The Work must be completed on or before February 29, 2016. Inquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than ten (10) calendar days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond. Faxed submissions will not be accepted. This PCA office provides procurement services to the public in either official language of Canada. The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
