Remarks – Recommended Use of SACC Item

Use the following clause in contracts for non-commercial, off-the-shelf or special production run batteries, to define delivery tolerances.

Legal text for SACC item

When the Contractor is required to supply other than commercial off-the-shelf batteries or must make a special production run of batteries, the following over/under run allowances are acceptable:

  1. for quantities 1 to 500, plus or minus 5 percent;
  2. for quantities 501 to 5,000, plus or minus 2.5 percent; and
  3. for quantities in excess of 5,000, plus or minus 1 percent.
