7 June, 2016 – Ottawa - A new self-service Procure-to-Pay (P2P) web portal gives Shared Services Canada suppliers the ability to submit bids and invoices online. As of July 2016, all Shared Services Canada procurements will be initiated using the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) web portal.
What this means for Shared Services Canada suppliers
The P2P portal will be used to submit bids, invoices and provide enhanced visibility of procurement activities within Shared Services Canada. This electronic procurement and payment system will enable Shared Services Canada to modernize business practices, expedite processing and payment with suppliers and will result in an improved end-to-end service delivery experience for clients.
The Shared Services Canada P2P solution will provide the following benefits:
- Easily update supplier profile information
- Electronic access to tenders
- Electronic bid submission
- Invoice management:
- electronic submission of invoices
- automated electronic invoice processing
- invoice status updates
- more efficient invoice payment processes
- Loading of catalogues for procurement tools

Supplier portal training will be provided through a combination of on-line and self-serve training ("How To" documents and instructional videos) accessible on the P2P portal. As well, we will be running weekly interactive WebEx training sessions through the summer and fall of 2016.
Shared Services Canada suppliers are invited to attend weekly interactive P2P supplier portal training sessions via WebEx prior to joining the portal community. P2P portal WebEx sessions for suppliers will be held on Wednesdays 2:00 to 4:00pm EST. Shared Services Canada will provide P2P portal training demonstrations followed by a question and answer period. The Shared Services Canada Procurement and Accounts Payable teams will ensure your first experiences in the portal are given attention, support and diligence over the coming weeks and months. There is a P2P Helpdesk in operation and on standby to support your transition to the portal.
