Micro-procurement of open source code through the Government of Canada Developers Exchange

February 22, 2018 - Ottawa – Building on innovative work by the government of British Columbia, Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) and Privy Council Office (PCO) have partnered to launch the Government of Canada (GC) Developers Exchange. This proof of concept connects teams within the Government of Canada with developers who are eligible to work in Canada. By focusing on small-scale opportunities, we hope to build capacity for agile development while increasing collaboration with small businesses, civic technology groups and entrepreneurs, in a way that adds value and encourages innovation. This is one of several Government of Canada initiatives underway to make it easier for government and developers to work together on open source solutions.
