August 22, 2022 – Ottawa – Since the beginning of January, more than 50,000 displaced Ukrainians have arrived in Canada. Individuals, communities and organizations across the country have mobilized to welcome Ukrainians and provide them with support as they make a new home in Canada.

The need for contributions continues for:

  • temporary or long-term housing;
  • gift cards for groceries, home and personal care essentials, child and baby items (including school supplies), and health and fitness;
  • laptops, tablets, cell phones, SIM cards or gift cards for these items; and
  • job offers.

In May 2022, the Government of Canada launched the Canadian Industry for Ukraine donation portal. Through this online portal, businesses across Canada can offer high-priority goods and services to support displaced Ukrainians. Your help is needed for donations and to share this message within your networks.

For more information about offering donations, please visit Call to action – Canadian Industry for Ukraine

If you have opportunities to promote the portal through your business networks, please contact the CanadianIndustryforUkraine-SoutiendelindustriecanadiennealUkr@ised-isde.gc.ca team at Innovation Science and Economic Development Canada. The team will share outreach tools and provide presentations as needed.

Our efforts can make an impact on the lives of displaced Ukrainian individuals and families.
