Obtaining security clearance (webinar)

The Government of Canada needs products and services in support of Canada’s response to COVID-19.

Learn how to supply a needed product or service

The Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) replaced the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) on July 1, 2020. Canadian procurements are not subject to any procurement obligations under CUSMA.

This webinar provides information on how to apply for security clearances and what is required for the application process. A security clearance is necessary when your personnel, under contract, will require access to classified/protected information or sensitive Government of Canada work sites. Obtaining a security clearance can be a lengthy process. This webinar will provide key information to help you better understand:

  1. The security requirements identified in the tender
  2. The registration process to obtain a security clearance with the Industrial Security Program
  3. The different levels of organization clearances and personnel clearances
  4. Your responsibilities as a supplier
